The law requires 7th graders to show proof of a Tdap booster received after the age of 7 or sign a waiver prior to the start of school. Current 6th graders should provide this information as early as possible over the course of the 2012-13 school year.

The 2012-2013 Flu Season begins in October and runs through May. Be sure to protect yourself and others and get your flu shot today! The following people should have a flu shot:

Adults and children who have chronic medical problems (e.g., asthma, aspirin therapy, immunosuppression, metabolic disorders)

Children 6 months to 18 years of age

Pregnant women

Household contacts and out-of-home caregivers of children aged less than 6 months
