Ojai Unified School District strives to enrich and nurture student achievement and academic excellence for all students throughout the Ojai Valley. Each year we eagerly await our Student Accountability Measure Report from the California Department of Education and carefully analyze our yearly performance on the Academic Performance Index (API) and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). The following documents below will highlight the district's overall academic performance.
Academic Performance Index(API)
The API is a numeric index, ranging from 200-1000, that measures the academic performance and growth of schools as stated in the California’s Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999. API is included as a requirement of meeting AYP targets as established by the Federal Government’s No Child Left Behind (NCLB) doctrine. It states that all schools must reach an API index of 800 points by the year 2014. As a whole, the district has already met that standard.
